The History
The origins of the Norwegian Water Cluster can be traced back to the early 2000s when several key stakeholders recognized the need for collective action to address water-related challenges and foster innovation in Norway. With a vision to promote sustainable solutions and drive advancements in the water sector, various organizations, research institutions, and technology companies came together to form a collaborative platform.
In 2004, the Norwegian Water Cluster was officially established as a network organization, creating a hub for knowledge exchange, research collaboration, and industry partnerships. The cluster aimed to bridge the gap between academia, industry, and public institutions to tackle complex water issues and leverage opportunities.
Over the years, the Norwegian Water Cluster has played a crucial role in inspiring and encouraging leading-edge technology companies. By facilitating the sharing of experiences, expertise, and leadership, the cluster has fostered innovation and nurtured a culture of collaboration within the water industry. It has actively supported the growth and development of its partner companies, enabling them to achieve greater market visibility and international success.
Today, the Norwegian Water Cluster continues to thrive as a dynamic and influential organization, driving innovation, sustainable practices, and economic growth in the water industry. With a focus on research, development, and international cooperation, the cluster remains dedicated to shaping the future of the water sector, tackling emerging challenges, and leveraging opportunities for the benefit of Norway and the global community.
